Hello from Nurse Karen.  I'm thrilled to be caring for the children and staff at Ridgeview Elementary School.  I have been a registered nurse since 1985 and have worked in a variety of clinical settings.  I have acute care experience in neonatal intensive care, labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum care, mother/baby care, and oncology.  I have also worked as a public health nurse and have over 15 years of elementary school nursing experience.  I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Health Administration from Indiana University.  My husband Larry and I moved to the Metroplex from Chicago in 1995, and we consider ourselves to be Texans.  We have 2 adult children who were both born in Texas.  In my spare time I enjoy gardening, hiking, traveling and watching sports with my husband (baking is also my secret passion).  It is truly a joy to support the families and staff of Ridgeview Elementary School.   Please reach out to me by phone or email if I can be of service to you.
